Applications for the URC starting winter semester 2024/25 are open until July 1:
#Application procedures are managed by the services of the University of Augsburg and its VIBS Online Application Portal.
#The admission procedure is carried out by the joint URC Examination & Selection Committee, based on transparent pre-determined criteria.

- Interdisciplinary Skills
- Urban & Socio-Cultural Knowledge (Europe & Latin America)
Applicants who achieved a minimum of 30 (of maximum 60) Assessment Points are admitted as URC students and will be invited to apply for scholarship support based on a respective Call.
III. Scholarship
Upon availability, each year a call for scholarships will be published, reserved to admitted URC students, where they will be invited to apply for scholarship support, sending in a commitment letter, certificates, and proofs for the following scholarship criteria:
- Assessment Score
- Graduation
- Language Skills
- Study Experience Abroad
- Project Experience
- Voluntary Work
- Special Consideration
Based on their assessment score and the submitted documentation for their scholarship application, applicants will be ranked (maximum score: 130) and accordingly offered scholarship support upon availability.
Please consider that for scholarship application more documents will be required than for general application. Also, applicants will have to comply with the specific scholarship call (and therefore should not send an ‘omnium gatherum’).
Independently of a scholarship, all admitted applicants can also matriculate as
self-funding students and start their URC studies in Augsburg in October.
